DriveTime Networking FAQ
What is DriveTime Networking International?
DriveTime Networking International is a network of professionals dedicated to effective face-to-face networking, who meet weekly to exchange Qualified Sales Leads (QSLs).
Who can join DriveTime Networking International?
Any committed professional who recognizes the virtually unlimited potential of face to face networking, and who are will to reliably and professionally tend to the professional needs of
the connections shared with them, as well as share their circle of contacts with others. But remember, only one professional per business category is permitted, so please check with the chapter membership chair or contact us to see if your business category is still open!
Why do DriveTime Networking chapters meet so often? Isn't once per month enough?
We strongly believe that strong business relationships begin with familiarity. Weekly meetings foster this knowledge of your fellow chapter members and help chapter members understand your business thoroughly so as to best be able to pass QSLs to you. It also fosters trust between our members so that everyone is comfortable referring members to their own circle of acquaintances.
What can I expect at a DriveTime Networking meeting?
Our meetings follow a simple, yet structured format. When you arrive, you will be greeted by every member and are welcome to do some free networking before the meeting begins. Promptly at 6:20 PM, the chapter leader will begin the meeting with the Pledge of Alliance, as well as a review of what DriveTime Networking is all about. Every member will then have a chance to give a 60 second commercial of there business, after which the member will pass any Qualified Sales Leads (QSLs) that they have for other members. After everyone says their commercial, a previously chosen member gives a ten minute presentation about their business. Members use this opportunity to highlight certain aspects of their business. This allows for a greater understanding of every members' business in order to make the process of recommending easier. Other activities include monthly "Hot Issue" activities, committee/board reports, testimonials, and of course, food!
What is a Qualified Sales Lead (QSL)?
The passing of QSLs are the main feature of any DriveTime Networking meeting and the reason why you join! QSLs are a legitimate sales lead from a member or a member's circle of contacts who is in need of the services that you provide. This person is expecting your call and it is your responsibility to provide them with quality services, according to their needs. We follow up with you regarding every QSL you receive.
Is there a minimum amount of QSLs I must pass?
Unlike other networking groups, we don't require you to exchange a set number of QSLs, HOWEVER, the saying, "the more you give, the more you get" applies. When your fellow members see that you are working hard for them, they will reciprocate.
